A Mk13 launcher with a 40-cell magazine, standard loadout of 36 RIM-66A SM1MR surface-to-air missiles and 4 RGM-84s, 2 fire control channel for her SAMs from 2 different systems, one of them also the fire control for the 3" gun from OTO Melara, a long range air search radar, a surface search radar, maybe a separate navigation radar, a EW suite, and a bottom mounted sonar, a Phalanx CIWS system, a SH-2 LAMPS helicopter, two triple-tube lightweight ASW torpedo launcher, a towed array tail and some Nixie towed decoys, some RBOC launchers and maybe light weapons like .50 cal Browning, meant to be cheap, full load displacement barely over 4000 long ton, single variable pitch screw, 2 LM2500 gas turbines, maximum speed somewhere around 30 knots, theorically too slow for CVBGs aluminum superstructure, impressive and proven damage resilence, First ship commissioned in the seventies, last one in the nineties, serious threat to modern submarines, barely capable against anti-ship missiles and live target for particularly advanced ones, and token ASuW capability. Received a few major design updates and upgrades in its service life including a longer hull and 2 SH-60 helicopters, somewhat recently lost their Mk13 launchers and with them area AAW and most ASuW capabilities, approaching end-of-life and being phased out in favor of newer and not necessarily better LCS's, if memory serves.

Whew!:D

Nicely done!

I guess that they're obsolete by now, not much protection against enemy surface attack.

an phalanx and an gun give a lot self defence cababilities..... but in general, yeah, they are an shadow of what they were with the missiles still in place.
